Fairy dust
The humid tropical forest is hot and dense, considered the oldest ecosystem on Earth. The Equator line runs through the Amazon from the Andes to the Atlantic, and an exceptional amount of rain makes the region have one-fifth of all the freshwater on the planet. The forest is the great generator of vapor: every large tree that rises above the canopy can release up to a thousand liters of water per day into the air in the form of vapor. Other volatile substances, flavonoids, produced by the trees travel together with this vapor, and when they reach the upper layers of the atmosphere, they oxidize and fall again, creating raindrops around them, as if requested by the forest. These magical particles are defined by scientists as “fairy dust” (Antônio Donato Nobre). The forest produces its own rain and still keeps the south of Brazil humid.

More Princess
Long live to the Princess! Perhaps the most climbed tree in the Amazon. The Princess has been admired and praised, remembered and spread, I hope she sets an example of unique communication between humans and trees. The life that hides under the bark of the great emergent trees and the incalculable service provided to humanity manifests itself with all emotion when you make yourself present in the canopy of the Amazon rainforest.
