Eye to eye
Woolly monkey (Lagotrix lagotricha)
“What’s your problem? What do you want from me?”
Sorry, I’m just watching your reflected light, and recording it here in my little black box, I’m cool with you!
«Then we can play a little, I’m going to jump on your shoulder, let me see this little box, full of buttons…»
I only ask you a favor, don’t jump on me, it’s not that I don’t want to play with you, it’s just that we humans do strange things that don’t even cross your mind and you better stay out of it. Please don’t jump! You’re going to fill me with sand, and my little box doesn’t like that. You won’t believe it, I’m going to take your light for other humans to see you, to say that you exist. They will look into your questioning eyes. Who knows, maybe this will help your people to remain free, healthy and happy, as is the right of all beings on our planet.
«I know very well what humans are doing, strange things even, disregarding the Mother. All non-humans on Earth know what humans are doing, we all know because Mother speaks to us».
So I shut up in an attempt to hear the Voice.

Woolly monkey in the bush (Lagotrix lagotricha)
I’ve spent some time in the treetops, jumping from branch to branch, like this little being from the heights, right in the center of the photo. Many days passed among the emerging branches of the forest, with sun, rain, wind, moon, stars, work and pleasure, people and solitude. There, in those branches, the vision of the world is transformed, just as navigating the ocean can transform.
On my treetop journey, I had a master, Master Yoda. It couldn’t have been better, he came from the United States to train me several times, he is a technically impeccable master. I was talking to him about technique and immersed myself in the task. When I went back to him, my eye sought him in the last place to clarify the procedure. Well, he was already somewhere else, accurately observing my immature technique. Tim Kovar jumped from branch to branch in such a subtle way that I even wondered if that wasn’t some strange magic from my friend-instructor.

Pachamama’s embrace
Here is Tim Kovar, tree climber and master who has trained many climbers, myself included.
Tim starts from a solid security background. His techniques are simple and minimalist.
The awareness of knowing where we are and what we are doing is constant and yet serene, because after all we are in the treetops to feel Pachamama’s embrace.
The tree where we are is an iron tree (Dinizia excelsa) 60 meters high, baptized as «Queen».
