Curious communication
My friend Thierry, a companion on many navigations and maritime storms, came to visit me in the Amazon, and of course, I took him to see some places where he could get a small idea of the Amazon. The woolly monkey (Lagotrix lagotricha) is covering its mouth imitating my friend. I don’t know who started the game, but I know they spent quite some time in this curious communication.

Good talk
This is my friend Thierry, and it seems that he and the woolly monkey (Lagotrix lagotricha) get along very well, and it must have always been this way throughout human history because it’s only in our unfortunate era that science has decreed that animal life is an instinctive response to external stimuli, without intelligence. I say unfortunate, and someone might say, “But how so? We’ve never been better off, with so much comfort.” That’s partly true – a small part of the population lives in opulence, has private transportation, goes to the supermarket, and fills their fridge. All of this while ignoring the vast majority that struggles to eat and lacks basic assistance. Something is wrong, not to mention that the comfort of the few is depleting natural resources and contaminating our planet even more. Not to mention that the few are not truly happy and are being punished by diseases of opulence and fear of being robbed. In anticipation of a happy era, I allow myself to doubt this social model and transform my life: less carbon emissions, less consumption, more food in my garden… and explore the wider fields of nature’s intelligence, like my friend Thierry conversing with the woolly monkey.
